In this Contemporary Painting workshop...It's not about quantity...but quality. We offer a relaxed environment in which to explore your own ideas and interpretations using different materials and even the ones you are comfortable with. We don't necessarily "throw the baby out with the bath water" because even contemporary art follows principles of design, composition, rhythm and color.

Students will expand their creative potential and have fun exploring the freedom in style and techniques of contemporary painting and drawing.

Cheryl Kline is a classically trained figurative artist who loves to explore many styles of painting. Her "Dancing Oracles" series was a result of pure joy at the idea that she could actually earn a living as a painter. She has encouraged many of her students to develop their unique style and several are now showing in galleries in Los Angeles.
