Juliette Aristides

POSTPONED

Course Description

Experience the Classical Training with master artist Juliette Aristides. Come as you are and join Juliette for a three-day immersion in figure painting, whether you are a beginner looking to try something new, or an experienced painter interested in Classical training. We will set up models on the same stage to create a multi figure narrative for building a Timeless Figurative work. Explore the stages of painting, from quick starts to a sequential development of a longer pose throughout the rest of the workshop. During our time, we will focus on drawing and placement of large value masses as these elements hold the power and personality within a painting. We will look back at art history to discuss palette, the careful management of edges and treatment of light. Your instructor will provide frequent demos and break down the process of painting into clear and consecutive steps. We will have lively conversations, critiques and individual instruction each informative and fun session.
