Learn to explore the complex beauty and detail of the plants and flowers around you with colored pencils! If you haven't worked with colored pencils before, you are in for a treat! This medium is highly portable, highly versatile, and non toxic. This makes it a great medium for people that travel, people that live in small spaces, people that live with highly curious children and pets, or for people that are curious about exploring mixed media artwork. Lana’s Botanical Illustration will not necessarily dive deeply into the scientific aspects of plants and flowers, but rather how to study and render these beautiful objects artistically. Students interested in enhancing their ability to work with color, interested in rendering highly detailed drawings, or interested in creating artwork inspired by traveling (or while traveling) will greatly benefit from this course.
