With Master Artist
SOLD OUT | 8 Sundays | April 18 - June 6 | 10am - 1pm
Watch your figurative work go from mediocre to great with this incredible workshop! The class will run with Rey's newest book, Rey's Anatomy: Figurative Art Lessons From the Classroom!
Through morning lectures that roughly span the first hour each lecture explains a region of the human figure beginning at the foot and leg, each week moving upwards, thigh and gluteals, front torso, back torso, etc..
The objective is to give each student a better idea of surface anatomy to better understand the forms seen on the skin layer of the figure.
“To do it well requires an in-depth knowledge of anatomy and an awareness of what lies beneath all parts of the body, for the greatest figurative art gives the impression that there is a living skeleton inside the body,” notes artist and veteran art educator Rey Bustos.
Drawing concepts are covered along with anatomy to make is easier for each person to apply what has been learned and to also explore a personal direction in how to express more readily what each person can more artistically explore.
