Plein Air Landscape Workshop
With Master Artist
Sharon Weaver
1 Day | Saturday, October 11th, 2025
9:30 am - 12:30 pm
Course Description
“The best way to improve your painting is by painting from life. It forces you to think quickly, to observe more carefully and to have confidence in your brushstrokes. It is a very freeing exercise that has made a huge difference in my own development as an artist.” That is how Sharon Weaver describes her plein air painting experience. Join Sharon on location around the Los Angeles area to learn how to paint the landscape plein air. Sharon shares her step by step instruction that shows students how to block in shapes. With Sharon’s help, painting plein air will take your work to the next level.
Location: Leo Carrillo State Beach in Malibu, CA.
Directions: For parking you can pay to enter the park and park at the second lot at the beach near Lifeguard Station #4. Or you can park at the top of the hill facing south (like you did last month near Lifeguard Stand #3) and walk toward the ocean to the park road. Then walk north to the beach and Lifeguard Stand #4.
Note: You can not park on the road near Lifeguard Stand #4 and walk in there because there is a steep cliff there.
